Certified AMGA and IFMGA Guided Alpine Climbing outside the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and within Grand Teton National Park.
Commonly referred to as ‘The American Alps’, The Teton Range is an alpine climbers paradise. Located outside the historic town of Jackson Hole, WY and within Grand Teton National Park, the Tetons deliver unparalleled beauty and quality climbing.
One of the oldest and most historic technical alpine climbing venues in the USA, the Teton Range is large in climbing history and tradition. Upon these peaks and trails of Grand Teton National Park some of the country’s first true mountain guides were practicing their craft, and now almost 80 years later, the ruggedness and wild beauty of this place still inspires and awes climbers and guides of all ages and backgrounds.
Walk in the footsteps of countless other mountaineers and alpine climbers with an ascent of either the Upper Exum Ridge or Owen Spaulding Route on the Grand Teton, highest peak in the range. Or, for more technically inclined folks, enjoy an ascent of the long, sustained and aesthetic Direct Durrance Ridge (Complete Exum), Petzoldt Ridge, or North Face of the Grand Teton. Besides the countless alpine climbing options on the Grand Teton, many of the other ‘lesser’ summits around, have truly world class alpine rock, ice, and snow climbing and are worthy of an ascent in their own right.
And besides the majority of alpine climbing objectives the Teton Range has to offer, the place is also one of the most pristine and undisturbed natural habitats for big game in the American West….rightfully dubbed the ‘American Serengeti’. The plains surrounding the lofty peaks, and the beautiful Snake River below teem with all sorts of wildlife….moose, elk, brown and black bears, eagles, antelope, and more.
Let Lotus Alpine Adventures share our intimate knowledge of this amazing and iconic range with you, in a unique and unforgettable guided trip. Walk in the footsteps of some of America’s most storied alpine climbers and guides, and experience the adventure and challenge of climbing amongst these mountains, in much the same protected wilderness and beauty as those that had the vision to do so here, so long ago.
