Certified AMGA and IFMGA Guided Alpine Climbing in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Locations include: Crested Butte’s surrounding Elk Mountains, San Juan Mountains and the Sangre De Cristo Range, Colorado.
With 54 mountains over 14,000′ Colorado has an endless amount of adventure for the Alpine climber, and more ‘high altitude’ summits than anywhere else in the Lower 48. Colorado has been our home and backyard for the past 2 decades, we know our home state’s mountains intimately, and Lotus Alpine Adventures can provide the perfect alpine climbing objective and experience for all skill levels and abilities. Join us for an easy 3rd class scramble to the summit of one of the states iconic 14ers, or tackle lesser known and lower summits via technical 5th class rock climbing and/or snow and ice climbing.
Based on the Western side of the majestic Elk Mountains, we have backyard access to many of Colorado’s more formidable alpine climbing objectives, 14er’s such as Pyramid Peak, Capitol Peak, and the Maroon Bells, and have dozens of alpine climbing ascents, guided and personal, via a number of different routes on these peaks (as well as a few ‘extreme’ ski descents as well), and we never tire of their engaging and rugged beauty.
Further a field from our home in Crested Butte, CO we are also intimately familiar with the higher peaks and more technical climbs offered by the seldom visited and remote Sangre de Cristo Range…having well over 2 dozen documented summits of the Crestone Needle & Crestone Peak in this wild and remote corner of Colorado. As well, as being within easy driving distance of the magnificent and truly rugged San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado.
Whether working towards a major alpine climbing goal here in Colorado, or using the mountains of Colorado as a training ground for bigger more difficult alpine climbing objectives in some of the world’s other great ranges, an Colorado Alpine Climbing trip with us will be custom tailored to meet your needs and will be an unforgettable adventure!
